ON TODAY'S DAY
In memory of Metropolitan Kiril, who on this day, on the great St. Peter's Day 55 years ago, was ordained as a Bishop with the title of Tiveriopol.
He was one of the signatories of the historic decision to declare the autocephaly of the MOC back in 1967.
We remember him for his greatness and dignity and for his great patriotism.
On this day, on the St. Peter's Day, in the then Cathedral Church "St. Dimitrij" in Skopje, the late Metropolitan Kiril of Polog-Kumanovo was ordained in the rank of vicar bishop with the title of Tiveriopolski. His image was a star that shone and still shines with its brilliance in the face of the MOC-OA during the restoration of its autocephaly. His words quenched the thirst and the need of the Macedonian people in overseas countries for spiritual unity with their homeland and were a spiritual connection with their primordial mother - St. Clement's Macedonian Orthodox Church. The Macedonian people had a special reason to love this great spiritual figure. His kindness, honesty and righteousness were synonymous with philanthropy, Christian love, harmony and understanding. He will forever be remembered as a wise and courageous servant of God, a true pillar of MOC-OA.
