Today in the congress hall of the "Alexandar Palace" hotel in Skopje, on the initiative and organization of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups (CRRCG), and with the support of the Heads of the Macedonian Orthodox Church - Ohrid Archdiocese (MOC-OA) and the Islamic religious community, as well as in cooperation with the theological faculties, the initial event was held at which a "Friendship Group" was formed for the first time between MOC-OA and IRC.

Today in the congress hall of the "Alexandar Palace" hotel in Skopje, on the initiative and organization of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups (CRRCG), and with the support of the Heads of the Macedonian Orthodox Church - Ohrid Archdiocese (MOC-OA) and the Islamic religious community, as well as in cooperation with the theological faculties, the initial event was held at which a "Friendship Group" was formed for the first time between MOC-OA and IRC.
Today's event was opened by the Director of CRRCG, Mr. Darijan Sotirovski, who welcomed the present delegations from the two religious communities and introduced them to the initiative, goals and plans of the project. In his address, Director Sotirovski pointed out that the "Friendship Group" project aims to provide the new generation of priests and religious officials, as well as scientific theological workers through several modules, a suitable space for timely mutual acquaintance, exchange of experiences and attitudes and encouragement of common concern for the public good.
At the event, the present leaders, the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonian Mr. Mr. Stefan and Reisul Ulema h. hfz. Shakjir, ef. Fetai, as the dean of the Orthodox Theological Faculty prof. Gjoko Gjorgjevski,Ph.D., and on behalf of the dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, the vice-dean prof. Muaz Agushi, Ph.D..
In the following period, the established “ Friendship Group” will hold four work modules, where through thematically considered content, it will strive through mutual acquaintance and cooperation of the young generation of theologians to produce long-term and quality interpersonal relations.
