The commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the deportation of the Macedonian Jews to Treblinka, under the auspices of the Government, and organized by the Jewish Community of the Republic of Macedonia and the Holocaust Fund of the Macedonian Jews, ended with an evening commemorative event at the National Opera and Ballet.

The Director of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups (CRRCG), Mr. Darijan Sotirovski, also attended the celebration.

The President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovachevski, as well as the President of the Jewish Community in the Republic of Macedonia –Mr. Pepo Levi, the Ambassador of Israel Mrs. Simona Frankel and the Chairman of the American Jewish Congress, Rabbi Andrew Baker, addressed the event.
