RELIGIOUS CALENDAR: NEW 1444 HIJRI YEAR
Today, Muslim believers celebrate the New Hijri year.
We congratulate all members of the Muslim faith on the New Hijri year as well as the beginning of the holy month of Muharram.
Hijra is one of the most significant events in the history of Islam. It represents the migration of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and his followers from Mecca to Medina in 622 year.
Hijra reminds Muslims of life's journey and fulfillment of their faith by providing shelter to displaced, disadvantaged and marginalized members of their community.
